Stores thumb versions of collection pieces. When the browser window is resized the thumbbar's viewport width should be updated. Navigating should scroll by the number of thumbs that fit the current thumbbar viewport width.

Zoom IN or OUT. When either the horizontal or vertical dimension of the image that's currently open exceeds the page's viewport width or height, dragging of the background (i.e. the opened image) should be enabled.

Navigation buttons. Used to scroll the thumbs in the thumbbar to the next or previous set. Scrolling should scroll by the number of thumbs that fit the current viewport width.

Pencil On Paper. This is a personal project to experiment with jQuery. I usually invent a project when learning about a subject. So I'm going to build the 1 million'th jQuery image gallery. It is in no way intended as a redo of any gallery that's already there. For myself, I just need a jQuery project, and the functionality as in the sketch above. So that's what I'm going to build. I will post a link here where you can follow development. Not to show 'how it's done' but because I'm curious as to how someone else might work this out. So if you feel like shooting me off, please do. If you like you can also grab the code and use it.
